Their trip through China led the delegation around the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Free State of Bavaria to selected high-tech companies, among others. One of them was the car manufacturer NIO (NextEV), which specialises in electric vehicles. At the suggestion of the Taicang Chamber of Foreign Trade, an appointment with Zollner Limited China was also on the agenda. Zollner supplies the drive electronics and the entire inverter for a NIO model.
Before the company tour, Managing Director Erik Breslein gave an overview of the Chinese economy in his presentation, in particular of the five-year plans and the industry focus that the Chinese government places on electric mobility, among other things. A panel discussion rounded off the visit of the delegation to Zollner Limited China. Finally, Hubert Aiwanger had the opportunity to take a seat in the new Zollner company electric car, a NIO ES8, and to inform himself about the built-in features.
